Travel Club!

The West Ocean Travel Club begins its 3rd year on Monday September 9, featuring South Africa.   The presentation by Bonita Stewart will be in the Tower 2 Multi-Purpose Room at 7, preceded at 6:30 by an optional potluck dinner.

From our presenter:  My trip to South Africa kept its promise of sheer delight with wide-open spaces, a wealth of wildlife, game parks of outstanding natural beauty, coastal paradise, breathtaking landscapes, mountainous regions with unlimited hiking possibilities, and incredible ethnic diversity which is a source of an outstanding artistic vitality.

During my presentation I will highlight the beauty of southern Africa by giving a first-hand account of my experience and showing pictures of each location.  I will start in the metropolitan coastal city of Cape Town, followed by Durban and the country of Swaziland, ending in Johannesburg, the financial capital of South Africa. Lastly, I will talk about the cultural experience I had and give my perspective as an African American traveling to South Africa.

We welcome all of our old members back and look forward to meeting new West Ocean residents who love to travel!
